Proofreading is essential, but copyediting and other forms of thoughtful reviews and assessments can save you time and energy as well as help you draw out a clearer vision of your project.

  • Proofreading is the final step of editing. This service includes a review of any spelling or punctuation errors. Copy editing focuses on grammar and mechanics. It offers general suggestions on improving style, but does not include deep line editing. A manuscript assessment looks at the manuscript in its entirety and offers constructive feedback in a detailed report.

  • I require each manuscript to be emailed as a Microsoft Word document. This allows me to return the manuscript to you by email with Track Changes.

  • When you submit your manuscript by email, please follow these guidelines:

    1. Use 12-point, serif font like Times New Roman.

    2. Pages should be double-spaced.

    3. Leave 1” margins.

    4. Left-align your paragraphs.

    5. Send the document as a Microsoft Word document only.
